Cheating
Once again I am cheating. I am going back - gulp - over a year and post dating my blogs! The last time I blogged it was June 2008. I started this entry in July after Addie's birthday and never posted it because I had not uploaded pics onto our computer. Now I am finishing it! know I am notoriously late with pictures and have not been as active on my blog since Doug came back from Iraq, but this is bad. I have often thought of letting it go but I am now 4-5 years into it and I figure if nothing else I can update every few months or every year to help chronicle our lives. I can do that right? We'll see : )
So browse through the last 12 months for pictures of what we have been up to for any of you that still take a look at this blog after a year of neglect.
So what has happened since then? Life is crazy as usual. We have gone on lots of mini-vacations and family trips. We have grown as a family - adding a great dane puppy, Sierra, who was 11 lbs when we got her and now 95 lbs and only 8 months old! Addie and Emmie are continuting to grow way too fast. Addie is always the girly, girl and is so sweet. She still loves to hold my hand when she is falling asleep and she tells us she loves us all of the time. The things that come of her mouth are way too old for a 4 year old. Addie just turned 4 a month ago - perhaps prompting me to think about how I have not finished her year picture book or started one for Emme or updated this blog..... Sigh. Anyhew, yesterday I can't remember what Addie was saying but Doug asked a question, Addie gave the answer and she looked up at Doug and said "Duh!". Then today we were swimming and Addie popped out of the water, Doug said "Well Hello Little Girl" and Addie said "Well Hello Old Man!" Can't imagine where she got that from. And Addie was screaming the other night in bed and Emme started yelling in her room "zip it Addie, zip it!" Really have no idea where she got that from.
After a lot of thought, we are moved Addie and Emme to new schools. We love where they were at but there were options for them to go to a Spanish immersion school so they can now come home and teach us or talk about us without us knowing what they are saying - I bet the latter.
Emme just turned two in May and is still rough and tough, although she loves to give hugs and kisses. The girl has sass and is really funny not only with her words but her expressions. She is screaming at the top of her lungs right now - she has definitely hit the age of 2 and tantrums are daily. Her ability to eat is still unreal - good thing we don't have any boys. The girls are already eating us out of the house.
I'll sign off for now and put up some pics before I have to put this on hold again
